Situated in one of the most beautiful places on earth — Nova Scotia (often called Canada’s best-kept secret) — our lodge sits at the merging of two lazy rivers on Lobster Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. We’re surrounded by rolling hills and trees, in walking distance of a lobster fishery, and within a few yards of the seashore.

Let’s imagine your day…

Arrival at the Argyler Lodge the afternoon before. The rehearsal, held in our lower level bar (perhaps in front of the fireplace), on the wrap-around verandah, in the gardens, on the rocky beach, or perhaps on our pier.

A sumptuous dinner overlooking Lobster Bay as the fishing boats return from their day’s work and the sun begins to dip behind the islands on the Bay. A sound sleep in happy dreams for the day ahead. Freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast, followed by a walk on the beach, talking about how your lives are about to change. Then it’s off to separate quarters until the moment arrives, and with the people you love around you, the pronouncement of your newly minted status as a married couple is made. Dinner, bubbly, dancing and romance. Repair to your room, and kiss.

We are near the town of Yarmouth, and are accessible by car, ferry or aircraft, making it easy and relaxed for the members of the wedding party, and guests, to find and enjoy. Drive in along the south shore or the Bay of Fundy coast from Halifax airport in about four hours.

Destination Wedding

We’re a natural backdrop for your destination wedding, and with five lovely guest rooms, we are able to host and accommodate wedding parties of up to 14 individuals; if your group is larger, we’ll assist in securing accommodations for other wedding guests at local inns and bed-and-breakfasts.

We are able to accommodate wedding groups in our two dining facilities of up to 100, and offer competitive rates for idyllic weddings. Our deck is licensed, too, so your guests may enjoy the ocean air if they wish. White table linens, decorations and a flexible menu (sit-down or buffet); what more could you want or need! You may wish to rent the entire facility, or just a portion of our beautiful lodge. We’re completely at ease with unions of all faith, cultures and orientations, including same-sex marriages, and have hosted many over the years. The Argyler Lodge gives you the privacy and seclusion that will make your destination wedding the only thing it absolutely must be: romantic.

Should you prefer a different venue than the Argyler, rest assured that you can still enjoy our fantastic cuisine at your wedding meal.
